Prepaid cell phones may be right for you. Prepaid cell phones are now the most popular plan out there. If you're not a big fan of the cell phone and you only want one for very minimal use or emergencies, then pre paid cell phones might be what you want to look into before you sign your name on a big, fat monthly contract. Good or bad credit, people are buying prepaid cell phones. Did you know that you can even get a one (a phone) without even giving your name? My ideal phone would be one to use only for emergencies because I hate cell phones and only use them as a back-up for traveling. There are also disposable ones which come with no bills, no expiration dates, no credit checks, and no contracts. I was amazed when the disposable camera came out, but a disposable cell phone? Pretty cool! There are many smaller companies that specialize in pre paid phones and they have very cheap rates, but keep in mind that most of these will come with expiration dates. So, if you don't use your minutes up by the time they expire, you don't get to use them at all. However, the amount spent for an emergency phone is so minimal, it really isn't a huge loss. My advice to you is do your homework on prepaid cell phones so you can better determine if they are the best choice for you. Good luck, and may you never have to say, "Can you hear me now?" Prepaid cell phones give you the luxury of no contract, no commitment. That's kind of what people are about isn't it?
